Two charged in attempted pot sale at Kennedy Jr. High

Two area men arrested only two weeks ago on property damage charges are now accused of trying to sell marijuana on the campus of Kennedy Junior High School in Lisle.
Andrew Dunlop III, 19, and Mindaugas Skurvydas, 18, are free on bond and awaiting trial on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of less than 2.5 grams of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Skurvydas is also charged with criminal trespass to state-supported property.
Dunlop lives on the 5S600 block of Buttonwood Court, in an unincorporated area of DuPage County between Naperville and Lisle. Skurvydas lives on the 2000 block of Grove Court, in the Danada Woods area of Naperville.
Kennedy Junior High School, at 2929 Green Trails Drive, is part of Naperville School District 203. Lisle police Watch Cmdr. Ron Wilke said the department’s school resource officer on Monday received information two people were trying to sell marijuana to students on the school grounds.
The officer around 3:46 p.m. Monday located two men, “and after speaking with them, was able to search their vehicle,” Wilke said. Marijuana and several pieces of drug paraphernalia were found during that search, he said.
DuPage court records show Dunlop and Skurvydas were arrested in mid-September on misdemeanor charges of criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct.
Skurvydas and an 18-year-old Lisle man were charged May 5 with possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, after Naperville police arrested them on the 1300 block of North Main Street. Skurvydas in July was fined and placed on supervision, after pleading guilty to the drug paraphernalia possession charge, court records showed.
He was ticketed again in August by Naperville police on a charge of disorderly conduct, according to records. He is scheduled to appear later this month in court in that case.
