Poppy
Age: 11 months old
Breed: Domestic short haired tuxedo
Background: Poppy was transferred from another shelter in May.
Personality: She is a little ball of fire, although shy. She needs a patient person who is willing to take time earning her love and trust.

Ana
Age: 1 year old
Breed: Chihuahua/ Dachshund mix
Background: Ana came from DuPage County Animal Care and Control in early September.
Personality: Ana is a little munchkin weighing 6 pounds. She is a quiet dog with a lot of love. She is a bit nervous when meeting new people, but once she warms up to you, she is sweet and loving. She’s quite the cuddler, too. She needs to be an only pet and no small children.

William
Age: 8 years old
Breed: Lab mix
Background: William was surrendered to the shelter because his elderly owner died and there wasn’t any family to care for him. He loves to go for walks as well as lay on a soft spot wherever you may be in the house.
Personality: William is a perfect house guest. He is house trained, crate trained (although never needs to be in one), gets along great with dogs, cats, children and all people.
Other: William is about 8 years old, 50 pounds, neutered, up to date on vaccinations and monthly heartworm and flea preventative. He recently had blood work and a dental exam, and he’s in great health.

Magic
Age: 1-1/2 years old
Breed: Short-hair black
Background: Magic was born to an outside mom and rescued with his three brothers at 5 weeks old. He has been in foster care since. He is a beautiful, large, all-black kitty, with gold eyes.
Personality: Magic is a pretty laid back guy. He likes to lay on the top perch of the kitty tree with his legs dangling over the side, waiting for snuggles. He also likes to try and trip his foster mom by rubbing on her legs while she is walking. He lives with his brother Dillon and several other kitty buddies, and would love to go to his new home with one of his friends, if possible.

Viking
Age: 9 years old
Breed: Domestic short hair
Background: He was found as a stray in Naperville and went unclaimed at animal control and then transferred to NAHS.
Personality: He is extremely sweet and affectionate, and loves being around people. He’s OK with other cats and possibly a dog.
Adoption fee: $25
Other: All animals at NAHS have been examined for health and temperament, are up-to-date on vaccines and microchipped. They are spayed and neutered at adoption.

Maverick
Age: 11 months
Breed: Shepherd /boxer mix
Background: Maverick was born in December 2011. He came to ADOPT in September of 2012 because his owners didn’t have enough time to spend with him.
Personality: Maverick is a handsome white shepherd mix. He is a friendly and happy young boy! If you are familiar with shepherds, Maverick is the guy for you. He is the type of dog that would love a “job” to do. He loves to please and would want someone to continue his lessons and help reinforce his housebreaking training. Obedience training would be required for Maverick.
