Buster
Age: 7 months old
Breed: Lab/hound mix
Background: Transferred in from a shelter in Oklahoma
Personality: He is extremely outgoing and energetic, and will need a lot of exercise and training. He is sweet and smart.
Adoption fee: $200
Other: All animals at NAHS have been examined for health and temperament, are up-to-date on vaccines and have been microchipped. They are spayed and neutered at adoption.

Dorothy
Age: 4 years old
Breed: Domestic short hair
Background: She was found as a stray in Naperville and went unclaimed at animal control and transferred to NAHS.
Personality: She is extremely sweet and affectionate, and loves being around people. She is a definite lap cat, and is OK with other cats and dogs and any aged kids.
Adoption fee: $50

Benji
Age: 2 years old
Breed: Poodle/Shih Tzu mix
Personality: Sweet, friendly, and best of all — low shedding! He’s a happy little fellow who loves people and a nice walk. He’ll be a perfect family pet.

Baby
Age: 2 years old
Breed: Dachshund, terrier mix
Background: Baby was surrendered in September to ADOPT by an owner who could no longer care for him.
Personality: Baby was adopted and then returned recently because he and the adopter’s cat did not get along. Baby is a happy, friendly boy that is house trained and loves to cuddle. He’d be a great snuggle buddy for those long winter nights. He can be fearful of other animals and would do best as an only pet.

Nala
Age: 2-1/2 years old
Breed: Domestic short hair-brown tabby mix
Background: Nala was a rescue transfer from Chicago Animal Control.
Personality: Nala has been at ADOPT since March 2011 and is about 2-1/2 years old. She should be an only cat. Nala will tell you when she wants attention and when she doesn’t.
