A man has been arrested after allegedly punching a bouncer and breaking his nose outside The Lantern in downtown Naperville early Sunday morning.

William W. Mitchell, 21, Palos Hills, has been charged with one count of battery in the incident.

According to Naperville police, at about 1:40 a.m. there was a fight outside The Lantern, 8 W. Chicago Ave. The scuffle allegedly began because a bouncer would not allow Mitchell back into the bar. Mitchell then punched the bouncer in the face, breaking his nose, police said.

Mitchell was arrested soon after the fight without incident, police said.
