Truck topples but no one hurt in Naperville crash Tuesday

A large truck flipped onto its side Tuesday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash at Diehl Road and Raymond Drive on Naperville’s far northwest side.
Police said their initial investigation showed the northbound black Isuzu box truck ran through a red light and struck a red Ford Mustang that was heading west at about 3:26 p.m. As the truck rolled, it hit a red four-door Saturn that was stopped for the light in the southbound lanes of Raymond. The crash scene is northwest of the McDowell Forest Preserve and adjacent to the Tellabs campus.
No injuries were reported, but the collision caused prolonged delays for motorists crossing the intersection for at least an hour after the accident.
Naperville police and several engines, trucks and pieces of apparatus from the Naperville Fire Department were sent to the scene, along with at least one ambulance. Members of the Police Department’s Traffic Unit also were dispatched to begin crash reconstruction as part of their investigation, which remains in process.
