Comcast SportsNet delivered its highest Blackhawks regular season rating ever on Sunday, a 6.31 for its coverage of the Hawks’ 2-1 overtime victory over the Red Wings.
The game attracted about 220,000 households for its entirety and posted an 8.09 “peak” rating during the 8:15 p.m. quarter-hour (approx. 282,000 households). The 6.31 shatters the previous record set just five days earlier on January 22 for the Blackhawks home opener vs. St. Louis (5.40).
In fact, the top four highest-rated Hawks game in Comcast SportsNet history have all occurred during the previos week.
