Naperville man facing deportation following 2 arrests

Pawel J. Fracek, 37, of Naperville, has been turned over to U.S. immigration officials for deportation proceedings, after being arrested twice in less than two months on charges of battery and domestic battery.

A man who lived on Naperville’s northwest side has been given over to federal immigration authorities, after being arrested twice in less than two months for crimes of violence.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents have custody of Pawel J. Fracek, 37. He last lived in an apartment on the 1600 block of Westminster Drive in Naperville’s Brookdale neighborhood.
ICE officials on Friday took Fracek into custody at DuPage County Jail in Wheaton, where he had been held without bond. He now faces deportation proceedings.
Naperville police on Nov. 26 were sent to Fracek’s home following a complaint of his being intoxicated.
Sgt. Lou Cammiso, in an e-mail, said Fracek that day resisted arrest, slapping one of the officers in the process. Cammiso said the officer was not seriously injured.
Fracek was later released on bond. He was scheduled to appear Feb. 6 in DuPage County Circuit Court to answer misdemeanor charges of resisting or obstructing a police officer and battery, according to court records.
Police records indicated officers returned to the Westminster Drive address about 6:31 a.m. Jan. 19, following an anonymous complaint of loud noise coming from Fracek’s apartment. Cammiso said Fracek was arrested “for breach of the peace for playing his stereo too loud.”
Cammiso said police returned later that morning to the apartment building and arrested Fracek again, that time on a charge of domestic battery.
Fracek’s Feb. 25 arraignment date on the domestic battery charge has been rendered moot by his being taken into federal custody.
