Gregus drops out of Naperville City Council race

Candidate Tara Leigh Gregus has withdrawn from the race for Naperville City Council.
“Regrettably, I have withdrawn from the Naperville City Council race,” she said in a public statement. “A family member has sustained a severe injury. Consequently, at this time, I am unable to run a viable campaign.”
She said she does plan to run for public office sometime in the future.
She said the Election Commission was made aware of her withdrawal, so she will not appear on the April ballot.
The election is April 9. There are four seats on the Council up for election.
