Due to signal work taking place from Friday to Sunday, residents in the eastern portion of Naperville along the railroad tracks can expect increased train horn usage and associated noise.

The BNSF Railway will be performing signal work between Hinsdale and Lisle from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. all three days. During this time, trains will be using their horns more frequently than normal, city officials said.

BNSF work vehicles and contractor work vehicles will be very active on and around BNSF mainline tracks.

Although there is no actual work being performed in Naperville, the eastern portion of Naperville along the tracks can expect to hear significantly more horn usage than normal during this time period, according to city officials.
