Friday, Jan. 17
1Theft: A 28-year-old woman reported sometime during the late-evening hours, credit card, Illinois driver’s license and $40 stolen from her purse while she was inside unidentified restaurant-bar on 0-99 block of West Chicago Avenue.
Saturday, Jan. 18
2Property damage: A 64-year-old woman reported between 2 and 3 p.m., unidentified driver of white sport utility vehicle deliberately ran over and destroyed mailbox outside her home on 1300 block of Green Trails Drive.
Sunday, Jan. 19
3Counterfeiting: A 51-year-old woman reported about 10:49 p.m., she received change that included two counterfeit, $20 bills, following purchase at unidentified business on 800 block of South Route 59.
4Theft: A 27-year-old woman reported between noon and 6 p.m., compact disc video game stolen from her apartment on 1000 block of Heritage Hill Drive; no forced entry made to home, nothing disturbed.
Monday, Jan. 20
5Trespassing: David L. Baber, 41, 900 block of East Chicago Avenue; 12:01 a.m. near Van Buren Avenue and Columbia Street; charged with criminal trespass to land and interfering with police.
6Marijuana possession: Amanda C. Ahrendt, 21, Downers Grove; 1:08 a.m. following traffic stop near Cantore Road and Route 59; charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without insurance and speeding.
7Marijuana possession: Matthew R. Langerveld, 22, Oswego; 1:38 a.m. near city of Naperville public parking deck, 43 W. Van Buren Ave.; charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
8Driving under the influence: Miguel A.M. Cielo-Salinas, 21, Aurora; 5:05 a.m. near McDonald’s, 3232 S. Route 59; charged with DUI.
9Vehicle damage: A 20-year-old man reported between 2 a.m. Jan. 18 and 7 a.m. today, soft top of 1997 Jeep Wrangler sliced open while parked on 1200 block of West Jefferson Avenue.
10Vehicle burglary: A 30-year-old man reported between 6 p.m. Jan. 19 and 10 a.m., iPhone 4S and pair of diamond earrings stolen from vehicle while parked outside friend’s house on 500 block of Aurora Avenue.
11Unwanted subjects: About 2:35 p.m., resident of 2500 block of Oneida Lane called police, asking that they remove her daughter and year-old grandson from her home; police advised woman of proper, legal eviction procedures.
12Fugitive: Curtis D. Johnson, 34, Chicago; 10:08 p.m. at Metra Railway Fourth Avenue commuter train depot, 105 E. Fourth Ave.; charged with being fugitive from justice; also wanted on a warrant.
13Theft: Apriyani C. Lord-Jackson, 20, 1500 block of West Jefferson Avenue; 11:18 p.m. at home; charged with theft, retail theft and obstructing identification; and April L. Jackson, 49, of same address; charged with driving while license suspended, driving without insurance and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident/driving too fast for conditions.
Tuesday, Jan. 21
14No insurance: About 7:41 a.m., unidentified driver of tan, 2004 Jaguar charged with driving without insurance and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident/driving too fast for conditions, after vehicle slid on icy pavement and through intersection of Ogden and Iroquois avenues, striking silver, 2013 Honda whose driver had right of way.
15Assault: Steven M. Wisniewski, 19, 1800 block of Cranshire Lane; 9 a.m. at home; charged with assault and resisting a peace officer.
16Unsafe backing: Joseph Nguyen, 32, 800 block of North Sleight Street; 10:33 a.m. near Ogden Avenue and Mill Street, near campus of Naperville North High School; charged with unsafe backing on roadway and interfering with police.
17Vandalism: Sometime before 10:38 a.m., three letters spray-painted on each of three signs warning of dead end in Will-O-Way Commons Park, near Hidden Spring and Stauffer drives.
18 Suspended license: About 12:21 p.m., unidentified motorist charged with driving with a suspended license, following non-injury traffic crash near Beebe Drive and Route 59.
19DUI: Michael W. Pavlovsky, 41, Woodridge; 4:15 p.m. on 2700 block of Aurora Avenue; charged with DUI, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident/driving too fast for conditions.
20Unlicensed driver: Edson G. Dominguez-Lopez, 23, North Aurora; 9:26 p.m. near Party City, 2727 W. Diehl Road; charged with driving without a license and avoiding a traffic control device.
