Current age: 65

Total years served: 33 years reserve (six as full time)

Fondest memory while serving: “My fondest memories are of the people I served with. Every place I served, I learned a great deal about engineering and people both from U.S. and other nations’ soldiers, and from the local nationals. I have seen people with few resources accomplish a great deal. I have seen people with great bounty share it with those less fortunate.”

Quote: “Every day of your life try to learn something new — and teach something you know to someone else. Be a mentor, lead by example and be someone those around you can trust.”

Every month the Judd Kendall VFW Post 3873 in Naperville chooses a Veteran of the Month for The Naperville Sun.
