Monday, Feb. 24
1Burglary: About 11:52 a.m., unidentified intruder forced open outer garage access door of home on 300 block of Apple River Drive; intruder “fled when resident opened the inner garage access door;” report provided no further information.
2Marijuana possession: Dominic E. McGinnis, 18, hometown not provided; 8:08 p.m., following traffic stop near 75th Street and Millbrook Drive; officer noted scent of burning marijuana inside vehicle; McGinnis charged with possession of 30 grams or less marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a broken headlight.
3Property damage: About 8:42 p.m., driver of hit and run vehicle struck and damaged sign near 75th and Washington streets.
4Suspended license: Manuel Gonzalez-Navarro, 32, hometown not provided; 9:37 p.m. near 111th Street and Thatcher Drive; charged with driving with a suspended or revoked license.
Tuesday, Feb. 25
5Prostitution: Sephora B. Lewis, 24, hometown not provided; James Kush, 32, Aurora; and David M. Peloza, 46, Lombard; 1:18 a.m. on 1600 block of Naperville-Wheaton Road; Lewis charged with prostitution; Kush and Peloza charged with patronizing a prostitute.
6Vehicle burglary: A 24-year-old woman reported about 7:50 a.m., she watched as unidentified man entered and then rummaged through vehicle parked in lot on 1500 block of Fairway Drive; woman uncertain if anything stolen; burglar described only as white man between ages of 20 and 25.
7Disorderly conduct: About 5:32 p.m., police investigated report of unidentified male or female staying without permission at unnamed hotel on 1300 block of East Ogden Avenue.
8Vehicle burglary: A 59-year-old woman reported between 5 and 7:34 p.m., unspecified amount of money stolen from Chrysler 300 while vehicle was parked in lot of Walgreens, 688 Amersale Drive.
9Suspicious incident: About 8:30 p.m., owner of home on 2700 block of Crestfield Court called police and reported finding basement window ajar; possible burglary attempt made between that time and noon Feb. 15; police found no sign of forced entry; nothing stolen.
10Warrant: Veronica C. Espino, 22, Aurora; 9:42 p.m. following traffic crash in parking area of Speedway, 3004 111th St.; taken into custody on outstanding, $3,000 arrest warrant issued in DuPage County.
