DuPage PADS is hosting a presentation that will highlight the benefits of the Affordable Care Act from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 7, in the fellowship hall at Community United Methodist Church, 20 N. Center St., Naperville. Call 630-355-1483 to learn more.
DuPage PADS has specially trained licensed navigators and Illinois assisters that will be available after the session to answer questions about the Affordable Care Act and the New Health Insurance Exchange Marketplace. Certified ACA navigators also will be available for one-on-one enrollment.
To enroll, bring the following documentation:
2012 tax return
Social Security Numbers (or document numbers for legal immigrants) NOTE: non-citizens who do not qualify are able to apply for family members who meet the qualified noncitizen rules
Employer and income information for every member of your household who needs coverage (for example, from pay stubs or W-2 forms — wage and tax statements)
Permanent resident card (even if you haven’t lived in the U.S. for five years you can still purchase insurance through the marketplace and you may be eligible for discounts or tax savings.
DuPage PADS navigators also can assist with these additional services: Medicaid, food stamps, a subsidy to help pay for child care, cash assistance, tax credits to help pay for health insurance premiums, or a subsidy to reduce the out-of-pocket expenses of medical care.
