Mayor proclaims Dolly McCarthy Day in Naperville

Naperville’s Mayor A. George Pradel has proclaimed Friday, March 21, as “Dolly McCarthy Day” in Naperville.

The day of recognition comes because of McCarthy’s years of service to the Naperville area and nonprofit organizations.

Dolly McCarthy is an anchor for CLTV News and creator and host of “The Dolly McCarthy Show” radio show, broadcasting on 89.9FM, SLAM Internet Radio, and McCarthy is also a former anchor of “Naperville News 17” (NCTV-17).

“The Dolly McCarthy Show” radio show just celebrated its one-year anniversary and 50th broadcast last week, and featured Pradel as one of the special guests. Listeners can tune into “The Dolly McCarthy Show” on their computers, on their smartphones, and internet-radio-equipped vehicles, as well as via traditional radio at 89.9 FM, on Thursdays from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

A celebration will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday at the Chicago Marriott Naperville, 1801 Naper Boulevard, and will include hors d’oeuvres, raffles, live music by Love & Money, and more. Proceeds from all raffle and ticket sales will be donated to Bike Bald, Kidz Kabaret, Naperville CARES, and Operation Support Our Troops America.

Tickets to the “Dolly McCarthy Day” celebration benefit are available for purchase at and are $30 each.
