Quick-frozen burgers already infused with four different flavors might just be the hot sizzling favorite off your grill this spring.
“These new pub-style burgers are absolutely packed with flavor,” says Dave Van Kampen, a Naperville resident for 24 years.
Van Kampen is the president and COO of Best Chicago Meat Co., the parent company of Glenmark, which produces the new quick frozen — or IQF — burgers that just hit the market in January.
“We are very excited to get these Angus burgers in the hands of burger fans,” Van Kampen says. “We know they’ll be a big hit.”
The 1/3-pound premium Angus burgers come individually wrapped, six to a box, and are intended to fry or grill without thawing first. Perfect for a quick lunch or even an impromptu barbecue party.
The four introductory flavors include: the classic bacon and cheddar, and roasted mushroom and swiss cheese.
Also try their spiced jalapeño and Monterey Jack. “It’s a cheesy explosion of favorites blended right into the burger,” Van Kampen says.
“Our blue cheese-infused burgers are the perfect foundation for any topping,” Van Kampen adds. “Bring on the lettuce, tomatoes, onions and whatever else your heart desires for a juicy, melt-in-your-mouth burger.”
The burgers, sold at Naperville locations, including Jewel-Osco or Caputo’s, says Andy Richardson, vice president of public relations, are manufactured in Chicago by Glenmark burgers, owned by Woodridge-based Chicago Meat Co.
“People will be asking you for the secret ingredient,” Van Kampen adds.
