Naperville-based Hundred Club of DuPage County will host a special charity event, “An Evening of Laughter and Memories of Sinatra,” at 8 p.m. April 11 and 12 at Wentz Concert Hall on the campus of North Central College in Naperville.

Frank Sinatra’s opening act for 14 years, renowned comedian Tom Dreesen, will be the highlight.

Dreesen who boasts more than 500 appearances on national television, from Johnny Carson and Jay Leno to David Letterman, tells real-life stories from one of the few people left in America who was there with Frank Sinatra.

Hundred Club President Lisa Savegnago predicts this will be the largest fundraiser in the club’s 30-year history of helping families.

“We are dedicated to helping families of police officers and firefighters who put their lives on the line for us every day doing a dangerous job we cannot do ourselves,” Savegnago said in a press release. “This extraordinary event will provide our club an opportunity to team up with a national celebrity to raise awareness and financial resources to continue the work we do for first responders in DuPage County.”

Almost half of the ticket proceeds will benefit the Hundred Club of DuPage County.

Individual tickets for the two-night event are on sale at the North Central College box office for $50, $75 and $100 each. The $100 tickets include premium seating and VIP access to a special “Sinatra After-Party,” including a meet and greet with Tom Dreesen.

The Naperville Sun and Chicago Sun-Times are among the sponsors of the event.

Tickets are also available at 630-637-7469, at the box office, or at www.northcentralcollege.edu/showtix.
