Boys Tennis: Naperville Central ranked in top 10 area teams

Top 10 teams

1. Hinsdale Central: The Red Devils have won the last two state championships and are heavy favorites to win again. Junior Martin Joyce returns as the top player in the state after winning the singles title last year. Junior Michael Lorenzini, third in state last year, will also play singles. Senior Chase Hamilton, a three-sport athlete, teams up with junior Eddie Grabill at No.1 doubles.

2. Lake Forest: The Scouts tied with Stevenson for second at state last year and have a lot of talented players coming back. Senior Peter Tarwid was sixth at state and junior Brice Polender had a good run as well. Senior Scott Christian is a top-notch doubles player and senior Connor O’Kelly is strong as well.

3. Stevenson: Junior Colin Harvey and senior Andrew Komarov return to the Patriots after taking third in doubles at state last year. Sophomore Benjamin Bush is also capable of having a big season as he looks to follow in the footsteps of his older brother, Jeremy Bush, who graduated last year after finishing fifth.
