Friday, April 4

1Driving under the influence: Tiffany A. Furr, 31, Plainfield; 12:35 a.m. near English Rows Avenue and Route 59; charged with two counts DUI and one count speeding.

2Warrant: Carlos R. Cortez, 22, Aurora; 1:55 a.m. near Country Lakes and Stewart drives; taken into custody on outstanding, $5,000 DuPage County arrest warrant.

3Excessive speeding: Cameron J. Zynda, 28, Plano; 7:18 a.m. near 111th Street and Plainfield-Naperville Road; charged with driving 26-35 mph over posted speed limit and following another vehicle too closely.

4Warrant: Gwendolyn A. McCain, 22, Aurora; 11:42 a.m. at the Naperville police station, 1350 Aurora Ave.; taken into custody on outstanding, $2,000 DuPage County arrest warrant.

5Vandalism: Joseph T. Dauben, 33, 1700 block of Fair Oak Road; 6:07 p.m. at the Naperville police station, 1350 Aurora Ave.; charged with criminal defacement of property.

6Obstructing ID: Emmanuel T. Handsbur, 21, Matteson; 7:55 p.m. near Monarch Landing, 1919 Ferry Road; charged with obstructing identification; also taken into custody on two, outstanding arrest warrants totaling $1,500.

7No insurance: Khalid A. Hamdan, 47, 800 block of Woodewind Drive; 8:39 p.m. near Pep Boys, 2936 W. Ogden Ave.; charged with driving without insurance and driving with an expired registration; also taken into custody on outstanding arrest warrant.

8Suspended license: Juan L. Hernandez, 28, Warrenville; 9:57 p.m. near Aurora Avenue and Route 59; charged with driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance.

9Suspended license: Timothy O. Hooper, 29, 500 block of Kiowa Drive; 11:29 p.m. at home; charged with driving with a suspended license.

Saturday, April 5

10Marijuana possession: Richard K. Schmidt, 22, 2400 block of Madera Lane; 12:31 a.m. near 75th Street and Olympus Drive; charged with possession of marijuana, driving without insurance and failure to signal.

11Hosting illegal party: Erik J. Salgado, 21, Aurora; 4:24 a.m. at Red Roof Inn, 1698 W. Diehl Road; charged with contributing to delinquency of minors by hosting party where alcohol is served; also taken into custody on two, outstanding arrest warrants totaling $17,000; guest Macarena Cisneros, 20, Montgomery, charged with illegal consumption of liquor by minor and interfering with police.

12Shoplifting: Between 11:15 a.m. and 12:03 p.m., two Samsung cell phones pried from display stand and stolen from unidentified business on 2900 block of Showplace Drive; thief described as black male, standing 6 feet 7 inches tall and weighing between 300 and 350 pounds.

13No insurance: About 12:31 p.m., unidentified motorist charged with driving without insurance, following two-vehicle traffic crash near Ring Road and Washington Street.

14Trespassing: About 1:42 p.m., four, unidentified male skateboarders issued city of Naperville tickets for trespassing, after skateboarding on unidentified property on 300 block of Shuman Boulevard; property owner told police of ongoing problem with skateboarders ignoring “No Trespassing” signs and causing damage.

15Driving too fast: About 4:22 p.m., unidentified motorist charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident/driving too fast for conditions, following three-vehicle traffic crash near Aurora and Ogden avenues.

16Driving too fast: About 4:28 p.m., unidentified motorist charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident/driving too fast for conditions, following four-vehicle, rear-end, chain-reaction traffic crash on 3000 block of Book Road.

17Marijuana possession: Seydina J. Diop, 22, Lisle; 5:31 p.m. on 100 block of South Loomis Street; charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

18Suspended license: Arlinda Shaw, 45, 100 block of Sandalwood Drive; 8:14 p.m. near Bailey Road and Coach Drive; charged with driving with a suspended license.
