Statewide bike plan aims to improve cycling in Illinois

A newly announced statewide bike plan aims to improve accommodations, policies and the overall bicycling experience in Illinois.

For the first time in its history, the state of Illinois has a long-range bicycle plan.

The Illinois Bike Transportation Plan will outline policies, best practices, and a strategic direction for the Illinois Department of Transportation to implement a sustainable, multi-modal transportation system stretching across the state.
