NCTV17’s Naperville Notables features Christine Jeffries

Do you know everything there is to do in your hometown? What is it that attracts visitors to Naperville? What makes businesses want to move to our beautiful city?

In this month’s edition of “Naperville Notables,” NCTV17’s Executive Director Liz Spencer sits down with Christine Jeffries, the president of the Naperville Development Partnership & Convention and Visitor’s Bureau.

During the hourlong interview, Jeffries talks about the role the Naperville Development Partnership plays in the city of Naperville. Its mission is to enhance the economic vitality of Naperville and maintain its outstanding quality of life through the retention and expansion of existing businesses as well as attracting new ones to the community.

Our city is home to two nationally recognized school districts, a liberal arts college, and major employers such as Edward Hospital, Nicor Gas and BP.

“Christine is a quiet leader,” Spencer said. “It’s not about her. It’s about Naperville and the partnerships she’s trying to bring in.”

Jeffries and her staff are also responsible for the Convention and Visitor’s Bureau. Planning a wedding? Discover all the hidden places Naperville boasts to hold your ceremony. The Naperville Development Partnership even bids out hotels, making it easy for you to make reservations.

Because of Jeffries and her work within our city, Naperville continues to be a place for people to live, work, raise a family, and enjoy shopping and dining.
