The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County invites the community to meet the agency’s new executive director, Arnie Biondo, at an open house from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, at the Danada House at Danada Forest Preserve, 3s501 Naperville Road in Wheaton.
During the event guests will hear remarks from Biondo and D. “Dewey” Pierotti Jr., president of the Forest Preserve District. They’ll have a chance to talk with Biondo and learn about his plans for change within the organization, including an enhanced focus on engagement with the community.
“This year marks a time for positive new beginnings within the Forest Preserve District,” Pierotti says. “Since Arnie joined us in January, he has proved to be the leader that the Board of Commissioners sought, and I’m looking forward to members of the community getting a chance to meet him and discover his dedication to our mission of conservation, education and recreation.”
Light lunch fare will be served. For more information, call the district’s office of communications and marketing at 630-933-7246.
