Oak Brook-based Portillo’s is considering a sale, and Lake Forest’s Marcus Lemonis is eyeing a bid for the restaurant. According to the Chicago Tribune:
Lake Forest’s Marcus Lemonis, CEO and chairman of recreational vehicle retailer Camping World and its parent company, said he is interested in purchasing Portillo’s and that the investment bank Moelis & Co. would represent him in negotiations.
“I’m definitely going to be in the mix,” said Lemonis, who is also a reality TV star told the Chicago Tribune. “It’s going to be a lot cheaper than the (L.A.) Clippers.”
