It’s the number one question Chicago-area baseball fans with answer with either trepidation or unbridled pride this week as the Crosstown Classic kicks off Monday: Cubs or White Sox? In Naperville, the answer is unequivocally Cubs. At least that’s what the numbers say, according to zip code data compiled by the New York Times in its interactive online graphic

According to the data, Naperville zip codes 60540, 60563, 60564 and 60565 all favor the Cubs over the Sox. (A few turncoats also root for the Red Sox and the Yankees).

60540

Cubs: 48 percent

White Sox: 35 perent

Red Sox: 3 percent

60563

Cubs: 45 percent

White Sox: 35 percent

Yankees: 4 percent

60564

Cubs: 44 percent

White Sox: 37 percent

Red Sox: 3 percent

60565

Cubs: 47 percent

White Sox: 37 percent

Red Sox: 4 percent

The takeaway is this: If the question comes up in a job interview in Naperville, play the odds and go Cubs.

The Crosstown Classic kicks off Monday at 7:05 p.m.
