The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce has announced the nominations for the 17th annual Small Business of the Year Awards.

Area businesses will compete in six categories: Business to Business, Business to Consumer, Not-for-Profit, Minority Owned Business, Young Professional Business Owner, and Woman Owned Business. Nominees, category winners and one overall winner will be recognized during a gala on May 30.

“My business was honored back in 2000. It was a humbling experience to have so many friends and colleagues show their support and appreciation for the small business I was building. I can say from experience there is no greater vote of confidence than being recognized by your fellow members,” said Nicki Anderson, president and CEO of the Naperville Chamber. “I’m looking forward to a great evening of camaraderie as we celebrate our nominees and the business community.”
