The Naperville organization “Bike Bald” invites the community to join them in an event to support Childhood Cancer Awareness.  The “Bike Rodeo” will be held from 11:00 a.m.– 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 10th.  This event will be held in the parking lot area of Centennial Beach located on Jackson Ave. in downtown Naperville.  Participation is open to the community.

This event will be themed as “a salute to heroes and bringing communities together.”

The event will include a “Badge Rodeo,” featuring a professional bicycle agility obstacle course where individuals will compete for the best time. First responders, including police officers, fire fighters, EMS, park police, cadets, physicians, and nurses from Chicagoland communities have been invited to compete against each other.  Local public officials, local school teachers and the local businesses, along with the individuals from the local community have been invited and encouraged to participate as well.  A $20.00 donation is requested to participate to support Childhood Cancer Awareness.  The donation is tax deductible.  To pre-register visitwww.BikeBald.com.

In addition, Bike Bald will have a “free” Kids Rodeo Safety Obstacle Course for ages 4-12.   There will be a helmet safety area, “free” bike check-ups for the community and a vendor market.  Live music will be provided by Billy Croft & The 5 Alarm Band.

There will be a lot for the community to enjoy in the park this day with several community events planned in the Riverwalk/Centennial Beach area.  Ride your bike to the event and remember always to wear a helmet.

During the event a special “Salute to Heroes” walk presentation will occur, paying tribute to all heroes, while welcoming one special hero to Naperville.  This hero will call Naperville its new home as we unveil and present “Neptune” for the first time.
