Police Bottle: Wine bottle hurled at rear window of vehicle

Friday, May 23

Theft: A 30-year-old woman reported between 12:35 and 12:50 a.m., purse stolen after being left unattended on patio of unidentified business on 0-99 block of West Chicago Avenue.

Battery: Between 1:15 and 1:41 a.m., pushing and shoving erupted between several, unidentified men or women, after vehicles were booted by Chicago Parking Management on 1100 block of Sherman Avenue; conflicting statements given to police; no arrests made or tickets issued.

Information for police: About 7:10 a.m., suspicious incident occurred on 700 block of Spindletree Avenue; report provided no further information.

Disorderly conduct: William A. Goodman, 21, 200 block of North Huffman Street; 11:54 a.m. on 400 block of Villa Avenue; charged with disorderly conduct/breach of peace.

Shoplifting: Diamonte G. Madison, 19, Oswego; and Oshay M. Williams, 21, Aurora; 2:20 p.m. at Marshalls, 240 S. Route 59; charged with retail theft.

Hit and run: About 3:30 p.m., two-vehicle, hit and run traffic crash occurred near Ogden Avenue and Raymond Drive; unidentified, at-fault motorist subsequently located and charged with leaving scene of accident involving vehicle damage.

Fire department assistance: About 4:41 p.m., police assisted Naperville Fire Department firefighters outside home on 100 block of Whispering Hills Drive, during small fire on stove top of home’s kitchen.

Driving under the influence: Mark T. Olson, 42, 4000 block of Broadmoor Circle; 10:05 p.m. near 111th Street and Route 59; charged with two counts DUI and one count improper lane use.

Suspended license: Edward Bobbitt, 45, 1300 block of Modaff Road; 10:54 p.m. near 75th Street and Plainfield-Naperville Road; charged with driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance.

Marijuana possession: Matthew R. Hiestand, 22, Niles; 11:23 p.m. near Giordano’s of Downtown Naperville, 119 S. Main St.; charged with possession of more than 10 grams marijuana.

Unlicensed driver: Israel Flores, 20, 700 block of Royal St. George Drive; 11:44 p.m., near Douglas Avenue and Webster Street; charged with driving without a license and illegal operation of sound amplification equipment.

Street racing: Jacob M. Kolus, 18, Plainfield; and Elmer A. Ortiz-Hernandez, 20, Bolingbrook; 11:49 p.m. near Tommy Nevin’s Pub, 3032 English Rows Ave.; charged with street racing and driving 35 mph over posted speed limit.

Vehicle damage: A 59-year-old woman reported sometime between May 1 and today, vehicle damaged on several occasions while parked in lot of apartment complex on 700 block of Inland Circle.

Saturday, May 24

Vehicle damage: Between 12:50 and 1:20 a.m., unidentified man damaged car parked outside home on 2600 block of Freeland Circle; car belonged to man’s former girlfriend’s new boyfriend.

DUI: Michelle B. Andrews, 32, Aurora; 1:34 a.m. near Ogden Avenue and Washington Street; charged with DUI, resisting a peace officer, driving without insurance and speeding.

DUI: Matthew T. Brandseth, 37, 30W400 block of Fairway Drive; 1:47 a.m. near McCoy Drive and Route 59; charged with DUI, illegal possession or transportation liquor, driving on wrong side of divided roadway and disobeying a traffic signal.

Vehicle burglary: A 73-year-old man reported between 9:30 p.m. May 23 and 6:30 a.m., pair of sunglasses stolen from unlocked vehicle parked on 600 block of Balmoral Circle.

Vehicle damage: A 47-year-old woman reported sometime between May 23 and 8 a.m., Rodney Strong chardonnay bottle was hurled and shattered rear window of vehicle on 700 block of Torrington Drive.
