Traffic signal upgrades being performed by the Illinois Department of Transportation will affect three locations in Naperville beginning Monday.

Motorists can expect traffic delays for those intersections that will be without functioning traffic signals while the work is being performed.

IDOT contractors will be replacing the signal cabinets and upgrading equipment at the following intersections:

Monday: Ogden Avenue and North Aurora/Raymond Drive

Wednesday: Ogden Avenue and River Road

Thursday: Ogden Avenue and Naper Boulevard/Naperville Road

The traffic lights will not be functioning and stop signs will be displayed at those intersections as traffic control while work is being performed.

The work is anticipated to occur from 9 a.m. to about noon, pending weather and unforeseen circumstances, city officials said.

Residents and motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to seek alternate routes of travel whenever possible, according to city officials.
