Man dies in Naperville motorcycle crash

A Minnesota man died Wednesday after an accident involving the motorcycle he was driving and an SUV in Naperville.

Frederick M. Wendt, 66, of Andover, Minn., was taken to Edward Hospital with critical injuries. He died Wednesday afternoon.

According to Naperville police, the accident happended at around 12:55 p.m. at Iroquois Drive and Ogden Avenue.

The initial investigation indicates that the driver of the SUV, Jeffrey Ka Ho Ng, 18, of Aurora, was eastbound on Ogden at Iroquois and made a left turn in front of the motorcycle, which was traveling westbound on Ogden, when the crash happened.

Wendt was pinned between the SUV and the motorcycle. A passenger on the motorcycle, Alice F. Wendt, 66, of Andover, Minn, was pinned under the SUV. She was extricated and taken to Edward Hospital for treatment of her injuries, and held for observation.
