Fireworks, music, rides and — of course — food. Independence Day is in full swing this weekend as the Naperville Exchange Club hosts its 27th annual Ribfest. But the four-day festival is about more than the fun, it’s about kids.
Since its beginning in 1987, the Exchange Club has raised more than $14 million from Ribfest and donated it to organizations dedicated to eliminating child abuse and domestic violence.
NCTV17 is honored to be a part of their cause. While you enjoy Ribfest, take a look at the jumbotron, and you’ll see a video highlighting the organizations making a difference in our community.
Ribfest is support, prevention, advocacy, assistance, home, empowerment and you! Every dollar you spend at Ribfest supports organizations like Samaritan Interfaith, Edward Care Center, 360 Youth Services, Breaking Free, Naperville CARES, DuPage Pads, Our Children’s Homestead, WDSRA and so many more good causes.
NCTV17 will be out in full swing all weekend with daily updates from Knoch Park. Be sure to like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter for all our Ribfest updates — from great music, the fireworks, the annual rib judging, and people from the community just having a great time. Share your Ribfest pictures with us on Facebook and Twitter, too.
See you there, and have a great and safe Fourth of July weekend!
