Recap: Duane Underwood (3-2) pitched six innings of scoreless ball, giving up only three hits and striking out six. Jose Arias (2.0) and Michael Heesch (1.0) preserved the shutout over the final three innings. Shawon Dunston had two hits, including a double, and an RBI for the Cougars.

Cougars record: 57-28, 12-3 second half.

Up next: Cougars’ Jen-Ho Tseng vs. Clinton’s Jose Flores (2-0) on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Clinton.
