Smash Mouth, Vertical Horizon to play at Naperville Last Fling

Smash Mouth and Vertical Horizon will be the Main Stage headline acts on Aug. 31 at Last Fling in Naperville.

The Naperville Jaycees made the announcement about the acts on Tuesday.

Smash Mouth’s first two major label releases “Fush Yu Mang” and “Astro Lounge” boast top-10 hits “All-Star,” “Walkin’ on the Sun,” “Then the Morning Comes,” and “I’m a Believer.”

In 1999, Vertical Horizon experienced meteoric success with “Everything You Want,” selling more than two million copies. The title song captured the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 and Adult Top 40 charts, and went on to become the most played single of 2000. The band earned further radio attention with “You’re a God,” No. 4 on Billboard’s Adult Chart and “Best I Ever Had (Grey Sky Morning),” which became a 2005 top 20 country hit for country star, Gary Allan.

Vertical Horizon and Smash Mouth will perform at the Last Fling Main Stage, located at the base of Rotary Hill near Naperville’s Riverwalk, beginning at 6 p.m. Aug. 31. Advance tickets for Sunday night are $15. Main Stage entertainment tickets are available for purchase now online and at local ticket sale locations. Visit www.lastfling.org.
