QUAD CITIES 3, COUGARS 1

Recap: Despite outhitting Quad Cities 11-6, the Cougars were only able to score once, Jeimer Candelario driving in the lone run in the sixth inning. The Cougars left nine runners stranded. Daury Torrez (9-4) took the loss for Kane County, while the River Bandits’ Blaine Sims (1-0) was the winning pitcher with Andrew Walter picking up his eighth save.

Cougars record: 13-5, 58-30
