St. Raphael annual appeal
St. Raphael Catholic Church of Naperville is accepting applications for funds to be used for organizations in ministry. The Special Appeal is an annual collection held during the Advent season and traditionally given to deserving ministries outside the parish.
Funding is made available for not-for-profit groups such as, church ministries, social agencies, peace and justice organizations. The one-time grant is intended to be used as seed money for a new program, rather than for maintenance of existing programs. In the past, Special Appeal collections have averaged $15,000 to $21,000.
A committee of parishioners of St. Raphael Church will select the Special Appeal recipient. To qualify, the ministry applying must fit the criteria established by the committee.
Applications must be postmarked by Sept. 5. To request an application packet, contact Margaret Huck, coordinator, service ministry and pastoral care, St. Raphael Catholic Church, 1215 S. Modaff Road, Naperville, IL 60540, 630-615-7616 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
