Tour the NCTV17 production truck! NCTV17 is partnering with several youth-focused organizations to give young Napervillians a behind-the-scenes look at the world of television.
Engineered by NCTV17’s operations supervisor Carl Schultz, the new truck is a television studio control room on wheels, equipped with multiple cameras, computers, monitors, a switcher and an audio board. Once the truck is powered up, NCTV17 can cover just about any event anywhere in the city.
Kids of all ages can stop by and take a peek at how the truck works, and try their hand at being interviewed for TV.
The production truck will stop at the DuPage Children’s Museum from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 22; Naper Settlement from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, July 23; Seager Park from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, July 28; Frontier Park from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 4; and the 95th Street Library from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Aug. 11.
While you’re out enjoying the many amenities our city has to offer, stop by for a free tour of our production truck and get to know your local television station a little better!
And remember to watch on channel 17 through Comcast and WOW!, channel 99 through AT&T UVerse, and streaming live at NCTV17.com.
