Special Olympics fundraiser at Texas Roadhouse

A benefit lunch for Special Olympics Illinois will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, July 25, at Texas Roadhouse locations across Illinois, including the Naperville restaurant, 2856 Patriot’s Lane. Police officers will serve a “free” lunch from a limited menu, including a pulled pork sandwich, corn, fresh-baked bread with honey-cinnamon butter and a non-alcoholic beverage.

The Law Enforcement Torch Run has raised almost $31 million over 28 years while increasing awareness of Special Olympics Illinois athletes and their accomplishments.

Diners are asked to leave a donation at their table, all of which will benefit the almost 21,500 athletes with intellectual disabilities and more than 18,500 young athletes (ages 2 to 7) of Special Olympics Illinois.
