Police Blotter: Man threatens ex-girlfriend

These are incidents reported by the Naperville Police Department. Where charges have been filed, the report includes when and where the suspect was stopped or taken into custody and the nature of the charges.

Thursday, Aug. 14

Vehicular damage: A 44-year-old man reported between 5 p.m. Aug. 13 and 5:01 p.m. today, sharp object used to etch scratches into finish of vehicle parked on 2600 block of Rockport Lane.

Shoplifting: Ajmal Khan, 59, Aurora; 5:34 p.m. at Goodwill Industries, 539 Fort Hill Drive; charged with retail theft.

Unlicensed driver: About 7:08 p.m., unidentified motorist charged with driving without a license, after his or her vehicle rear-ended another vehicle near Ogden Avenue and Naper Boulevard.

Driving under the influence: Delron M. Harris, 21, 25W200 block of Lacey Avenue; 10 p.m. at the Naperville police station, 1350 Aurora Ave.; charged with DUI/drugs, driving without having license in possession and two vehicular registration violations.

Theft: An 86-year-old man reported sometime between Aug. 13 and today, metal mailbox and wooden mounting post stolen from outside home on 1600 block of 77th Street.

Saturday, Aug. 16

Forgery: About 10:08 p.m., unspecified amount of counterfeit currency recovered on 500 block of Fessler Avenue.

Marijuana possession: Kevin S. Bell-Sneed, 18, Aurora; 10:44 p.m. at Travelodge Naperville, 1585 Naperville-Wheaton Road; charged with possession of marijuana, possession of liquor by minor and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Property damage: Sometime before 10:56 p.m., large rocks used to destroy unspecified number of mailboxes outside homes on 1500 block of Carlyle Road.

Property damage: A 60-year-old woman reported sometime before 11:17 p.m., plant damaged on 1600 block of Country Lakes Drive.

Sunday, Aug. 17

Property damage: A 58-year-old man reported between 1 and 7 a.m., mailbox damaged outside home on 2200 block of Joyce Lane.

Illegal dumping: Between Aug. 1 and 9:48 a.m. today, large amount of garbage dumped in public lot near 91st Street and Schoger Drive.

Shoplifting: Brian H. Dadigan, 42, 800 block of Corday Drive; 1:56 p.m. at Walmart SuperCenter, 2552 W. 75th St.; charged with retail theft, for stealing 19 pieces of merchandise from store; stolen goods had total retail value of $321.07.

Assault: Kenyarde D. Brown, 26, Lisle; 2:13 p.m. on 800 block of East Ogden Avenue; charged with assault, after threatening 37-year-old former girlfriend.

Traffic crash: About 2:51 p.m., unidentified motorist apparently suffered medical emergency and drove off roadway and struck tree on 700 block of South Whispering Hills Drive; report did not indicate whether driver was taken to hospital for treatment.

Shoplifting: Curtis D. Pugh, 18, Woodridge; 4:49 p.m. at Walmart SuperCenter, 2552 W. 75th St.; charged with retail theft.

Shoplifting: Andrea Buralli, 45, 1100 block of Sheldon Court; 6:02 p.m. at Menards, 715 Fort Hill Drive; charged with retail theft.

Vehicular damage: Steven E. Gerzen, 26, 11000 block of Highland Drive; 7:25 p.m. at home; charged with criminal damage to vehicle.

Burglary: A 46-year-old man reported between 3 p.m. Aug. 9 and today, burglary occurred on 1600 block of Coach Drive; report provided no further information.
