Naper woman who died in crash was passenger

New information was revealed about a 92-year-old woman who was killed in a head-on crash Sunday afternoon near the Westfield Fox Valley Mall in Aurora.

Dorothy J. Lineback was the passenger in a car heading northbound on Route 59 when an SUV traveling southbound tried to turn left in front of the car at the entrance of the Fox Valley Mall, causing a head-on crash, according to a statement from Aurora police.

Lineback, of the 500 block of Zephyr Drive in Naperville, was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead at 4:33 p.m., according to police. The driver of the car was unhurt.

The driver of the SUV, a 39-year-old Naperville woman, was cited for disobeying a traffic control device and failing to yield when turning left. She was not injured, nor were the three other people in her SUV.

Neither alcohol or drugs are suspected in the crash, police said. All occupants of both vehicles were wearing seatbelts.
