This little shop 108 East Boutique, 43 E. Jefferson Ave., suite 108, brings its own hue of fashion to the heart of Naperville.

Two moms and three daughters comprise the power team behind the boutique that offers affordable but unique clothing, accessories, handbags, jewelry, and also some high-end consignment pieces.

“We wanted to offer a little bit of everything for everyone,” explains Danielle Ritter, part owner. “Everything is surprisingly well priced. A lot of our accessories are priced under $20.”

Brands such as Ravel are more suitable for end-of-day wear and a little pricier than Dylan & Rose, which is a simpler and less pricey collection suitable for everyday wear, Ritter says.

The boutique wants to appeal to all ages, and offers a variety of glam accessories for children and teenagers.

Rosalyn Morris, one of the moms, also owns Studio 10 next door. When the space opened up, she rallied her two daughters, Genna Morris and Autum Laird, and long-time friend Laura Ritter and daughter Danielle Ritter. The five women live in and around Naperville, each adding to the authentic feel of the boutique.

“We all love the location. It is a 1800s property with lots of the original features. ...We used the nooks and corners to display our accessories in a fun way,” says Danielle Ritter, who also runs her own on-site hair and makeup business Army of Glam.

The boutique is divided over two rooms, Ritter adds.

108 East Boutique also offers monthly stylist sessions in store. After-hour private shopping parties also are available upon request. Ritter says they are expecting to add some bridal items in the near future.

New Weight Watchers

A new Weight Watchers store just celebrated its grand opening Jan. 12 at 8 W. Gartner Road, suite 132, in the Gartner Plaza.

With the new location also comes Weight Watcher’s recently launched Weight Watchers 360 program.

“What used to be ‘eat healthy’ is now ‘live healthy,’” says Janet Carlson, territory manager assistant, about the more comprehensive approach.

With the launch of PointsPlus in 2010, Weight Watchers took a critical step in delivering a program that nudged members toward more satisfying and nutrient-dense foods. Weight Watchers new programs help members manage their food environment and establish daily routines that can become long-term healthy habits, says a press release.

The store will be open during regular retail hours, welcoming walk-ins for questions, membership purchases or to shop for products.

Magic Garlic
replaces Curry Leaf

Offering Indian continental cuisine, Magic Garlic is taking over Curry Leaf, previously also an Indian restaurant at 1904 Brookdale Road, within the next few weeks.

Some minor remodeling is under way but Pratap Rawat, owner and Naperville resident, is looking forward to the new experience.

“I had a place a while ago in Bloomingdale. We like it here and moved here. The rental prices are good,” Rawat explains.

The restaurant will have a lunch buffet from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. with mostly northern Indian dishes. Dinner will be a la carte.

“We only have vegetarian, chicken, seafood and lamb dishes. Absolutely no beef or pork,” Rawat says.

The menu will include popular dishes such as tandoori and other grilled items, as well as traditional desserts.

Magic Garlic plans to offer catering also.
