As a sweeping flu season has kept us all in bed, combatting symptoms and sources of infection are one way to keep your loved ones healthy.

Healthy Harmony, a tea blend sold by Adagio Teas in downtown Naperville at 27 W. Jefferson St., might just be that overlooked, yet oh-so-obvious and natural solution.

A remedy as easily accessible as any over-the-counter medicine, Healthy Harmony is an Adagio Teas special blend created with hojicha green tea, yerba mate, dandelion root, echinacea, ginkgo leaves, rose hips and peppermint.

“It is a cleansing and detoxing blend. The essential oils and aromas evaporate and clarify. Rose hip gives extra Vitamin C,” explains Laura Sabato, store manager. “Treat your leaves well, and they will return the favor.”

Healthy Harmony, as all Adagio Teas specialty blends, is sold as a loose leaf tea, with a minimum purchase of 2 ounces for $10 yielding about 15 to 20 cups of tea.

Adagio Teas also offers wall-to-wall shelves of teas from 11 major tea categories: from hearty black to light blooms. Each package gives clear brewing instructions and steeping times.

“Loose leaf teas are more economical. You can brew just as much as you need, and as strong as you need,” says Pat Zumach, tea specialist at Adagio Teas.

Staff is happy to brew a sample for tasting.

“Try and play, make your own blends or choose ours,” encourages Sabato to customers. “We are not a stop-and-go shop. We want customers to roam, try and experiment.”
