Discovery Clothing Company moved to a bigger Naperville location, just a few buildings down from its original location, to 2707 Aurora Ave., suite 143, next to the recently opened Big Lots.

“We are excited to move into a larger store in Naperville, allowing more space to bring stylish, affordable clothing and accessories to more women and girls,” says Kenny Goldman, co-CEO. Jeff Goldman, also co-CEO, adds, “This store is exciting because it features our latest design concept. It has everything!”

The about 40 percent extra space and a new design layout is sure to enhance the shopper’s experience, says Samantha Blieden, account executive for the Margie Korshak public relations agency in Chicago.

A grand opening will take place at 10 a.m. March 2 with giveaways, including a free pair of jeans for the first 100 shoppers, according to a press release. Shoppers need to show valid ID and must be older than 16 to receive the pair of jeans, a maximum value of $19.99.

The new location will have a boutique-like design featuring bold colors. A new and easy-to-navigate floor layout guides shoppers through fashion selections and accessories showcasing newest trends at affordable pricing. Selection with include career to casual, accessories to shoes, outerwear to intimate apparel and denim to dresses.

Discovery Clothing Company is owned by two brothers and has been around for 26 years. Branches are primarily in the Chicago area, but also in Wisconsin, Indiana and Florida.

Blieden confirms the previous space that housed the Naperville store for 10 years will be shutting down but had no knowledge of who may be taking over the location.

Discovery is interviewing for all positions.

Upscale Nail Care on Route 59

Nail Care, an upscale full-service nail salon, is now open for business at 936 S. Route 59, suite 120, close to the intersection with Ogden Avenue.

Cindy Nguyen, owner of Nail Care in Naperville, is hands-on and brings many years of experience to this location. She also has been the owner of another successful nail salon in downtown Plainfield for almost nine years.

“It was time to expand. This is a very nice area, crowded area. A very good place for an upscale nail salon,” says Nguyen, who uses popular nail polish brands OPI and Essie for manicures and pedicures.

The 3,000-square-foot location has been fully remodeled in green hues.

“We wanted something warm. Customers can get their service and relax at the same time,” Nguyen says.

With 20 nail stations, 24 massage chairs distributed over four adjacent rooms for privacy and two secluded waxing rooms, Nail Care welcomes walk-ins and scheduled appointments, and is also ideal for larger groups and parties.

“We also do cosmetic tattoos,” says Nguyen, who is the technician for the permanent makeup application. “Nail Care will offer competitive pricing for all services.”

Call to find out more about their 50 percent discounts during the first week of business.

JC Licht closes one
of two locations

After only five years, JC Licht closed its Design Pointe location at 1320 N. Route 59, suite 166, in mid-December.

Steven Wilhelm, sales associate at the Washington Street location, was unable to confirm the reason for the closure.

Naperville’s other JC Licht location, at 419 S. Washington St. for 25 years, remains open.

JC Licht operates only in the greater Chicagoland area, offering home improvement options to contractors and individuals, featuring Benjamin Moore paints.

“Our biggest thing right now are our blinds. We offer free measurement and installations on purchases of $500 and over,” Wilhelm says.

“Custom orders come with a free color consultation by our very talented design consultant Lucy Vokac.”
