Chataka Masti’s new Tiffin service may be the answer for many busy Naperville residents looking for homestyle vegetarian Indian foods regularly delivered to their homes.
Milan Muchhar, owner and a former Caterpillar engineer for 16 years, opened Chataka Masti three years ago with the culinary support of his mother. Seeing the rising request for regular orders, he introduced the Tiffin service several months ago.
Tiffin is a term that originated in British India and describes a snack or an on-the-go meal. It has since evolved into a hassle-free catering arrangement for busy customers.
“They like our daily freshly made breads and food,” Muchhar says.
Customers pre-order meals on a monthly basis, selecting their delivery days, Monday through Sunday, and receive free delivery within 5 miles with a minimum of 12 to 15 monthly orders.
An Excel spreadsheet facilitates the ordering process, letting customers choose between five different meal combinations, in varying sizes.
For $3.99 per meal, the customer gets one subji (a curried vegetable), two freshly made rotis (bread) and raita (cured yogurt). The family combination, priced at $9.99, further includes sambhar (lentil soup), papad (crispy bread), a salad and a dessert, enough to feed three to four people.
The fast-food Indian restaurant is at 888 S. Route 59, opposite Cermak Market and Sam’s Club. Call 630-922-588 or visit www.chatkamasti.com to learn more.
