Business People: Naperville workers earn accolades

Darrin J. Shallcross Sr., owner of Shallcross Financial Group and a financial planner affiliated with Lincoln Financial Advisors Corp., has moved his practice to Naperville.
Chirag G. Shah was appointed director, materials and metallurgical engineering at Packer Engineering in Naperville. Shah has more than 10 years of technical experience in materials failure investigations, foundry metallurgy, quality control and materials testing. Before joining Packer Engineering, Shah was a senior metallurgical engineer at Exova in Glendale Heights.
Edward Jones financial adviser John M. Keeley of Naperville attended the seventh-annual Barron’s Winner’s Circle Top Advisors Summit, hosted by Barron’s magazine to promote best practices in the industry and the value of advice to the investing public. The invitation-only conference was Sept. 14 through 16 at the Waldorf Astoria in Orlando, Fla. Keeley works at the 1807 S. Washington St., Suite 111, Naperville, branch.
Ronni Appenbrink, Lindsay Finocchiaro and Doug Kluener, of Players Indoor Sports Center in Naperville, attended the IMG academy in Sarasota, Fla., where they completed the training to run Combine 360 assessments. The certification process involved the top trainers from around the world, including authors Peter Twist and Todd Durkin along with Yankees strength and conditioning coach Dana Cavalea.
Nancy Wiersum was named chief marketing and business officer, effective Oct. 3, at the Robert Crown Center for Health Education. Wiersum will develop and oversee the organization’s earned revenue streams, marketing strategies, and new product launches. In addition, she will initiate collaborations with key constituencies, community influencers and partners to support strategic initiatives.
