Friday, Dec. 27
1Battery: Oscar M. Rodriguez, 28, and Jose E. Rodriguez, 26, both of Aurora; and Ricardo P. Cisneros, 24, Romeoville; 12:11 a.m. at or near Rizzo’s, 6 W. Jefferson Ave.; all charged with battery causing bodily harm and battery; Oscar Rodriguez also charged with criminal trespass to land; Cisneros also charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and a headlights violation.
2Driving under the influence: Gyehwan Cho, 39, 2700 block of Cedar Glade Drive; 2:45 a.m. near 75th Street and Book Road; charged with two counts DUI and one count failure to yield while turning left.
3Theft: Between 4:30 p.m. Dec. 23 and 10:07 a.m. today, two Leister welders stolen from roof of unsecured building under construction on 500 block of Frontenac Court; thieves used ladders on premises to get to rooftop; on-site lowboy then used to lower welders to ground; welders had combined estimated value of $15,000.
4Stolen property recovery: About 10:45 a.m., state of Illinois identification card found on sidewalk outside Apple store, 120 W. Jefferson Ave.; investigation revealed ID card had been stolen from inside vehicle in Aurora.
5Burglary: A 38-year-old woman reported between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., “doorknob had possibly been tampered with” at home on 1500 block of West Jefferson Avenue.
6Marijuana possession: About 10:06 p.m., unidentified motorist charged with possession of 30 grams or less marijuana following traffic stop near Diehl Road and Route 59.
7No insurance: About 11:21 p.m., unidentified motorist charged with driving without insurance, driving with suspended license plates and two counts failure to secure child under age of 18 in seat belt near Bucky’s Express, 1671 N. Route 59; passenger Sierra P. Gage, 22, Chicago, arrested on outstanding warrant.
8DUI: Meghan C. Hoffman, 22, Aurora; 11:47 p.m. on southbound Route 59 near Beebe Drive; charged with two counts DUI and one count each driving without insurance, driving without having license in possession, failure to signal and improper lane use.
Saturday, Dec. 28
9DUI: About 2:05 a.m., unidentified motorist arrested and charged with DUI, following three-car traffic crash near Aurora and Ogden avenues.
10Abandoned vehicle: About 8:11 a.m., police investigated report of unoccupied vehicle parked on Route 59 south of 87th Street.
11Police assistance: About 4:52 p.m., unidentified “suspicious customer” on 100 block of Ambassador Drive called police, “wanting password reset on computer he purchased.”
12No insurance: About 5:30 p.m., unidentified motorist ticketed for driving without insurance, following two-vehicle, rear-end traffic crash near North Aurora Road and Route 59.
13Warrant: Zachary E. Maczko, 20, 2100 block of Keim Drive; 9:50 p.m. at home; arrested on outstanding warrant.
Sunday, Dec. 29
14Marijuana possession: About 12:50 a.m., unidentified male or female charged with possession of 30 grams or less marijuana near Ogden Avenue and Columbia Street.
15Property damage: A 61-year-old woman reported between noon and 3:15 p.m., hit and run vehicle struck and damaged mailbox and mounting post outside home on 600 block of Chesterfield Avenue.
16Vehicle burglary: A 23-year-old woman reported between 1 and 3:26 p.m., $400 stolen from her purse left inside vehicle parked in lot of Ponds of Naperville apartments, 1333 Modaff Road.
17Shoplifting: Between 2:45 and 3:29 p.m., unidentified shoplifter took drill bit at Menards, 715 Fort Hill Drive, and left store without paying for it.
18Fire department assistance: About 9:19 p.m., police assisted Naperville Fire Department paramedics at unidentified building on 0-99 block of Olympus Drive, after “intoxicated subject fell down stairs and hit head on floor.”
19Disorderly conduct: Brendan J. McLaren, 26, 29W100 block of Wagner Road; 9:51 p.m. near Houlihan’s, 2860 Showplace Drive; charged with disorderly conduct/breach of peace; McLaren accused of being “intoxicated subject ... yelling at random woman” in parking lot “and slamming car door shut.”
20Theft: Nina Mitkevich, 48, Plainfield; 10:23 p.m. following incident at Nordstrom Rack, 2511 W. 75th St.; a 24-year-old store patron told police she left cell phone behind in dressing room; after finding it missing, woman tracked phone to location in Plainfield, which proved to be Mitkevich’s home; Mitkevich charged with theft of more than $500 by unauthorized control of another.
