Sunday, Jan. 5
Disorderly conduct: A woman reported about 1 p.m., she was working on second floor of unidentified business on 1200 block of Bond Street when “she encountered a male subject in hallway who exposed himself to her;” man located and identified by police, but denied exposing self; no arrest made.
Monday, Jan. 6
Suspicious incident: A resident of the 1600 block of Kirby Court reported between 11:30 p.m. Jan. 5 and 7 a.m., unexpected, unidentifiable footprints left in snow on ground outside home.
Traffic crash: About 1:17 p.m., unidentified motorist’s vehicle struck and damaged U.S. Postal Service employee’s vehicle while worker was delivering mail on 400 block of West Benton Avenue; at-fault motorist ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident/driving too fast for conditions.
Suspended license: Shakeeya L. Cooley, 35, Joliet; 3:43 p.m. following two-car crash on icy stretch of pavement near Jefferson Avenue and River Road; charged with driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance.
No insurance: About 6:40 p.m., unidentified motorist attempted to make turn without yielding right of way to oncoming vehicle at Ogden Avenue and Royal St. George Drive, resulting in crash; at-fault motorist charged with driving without insurance.
Reckless driving: Austin L. Durbin, 20, 200 block of Westbrook Circle; 7:40 p.m. at the Naperville police station, 1350 Aurora Ave.; charged with reckless driving.
Tuesday, Jan. 7
Traffic crash: Employee of U.S. Postal Service reported about 11:09 a.m., he or she lost control of mail delivery truck while changing lanes on southbound Route 59 south of 87th Street; truck went into oncoming lane of traffic and struck vehicle; no injuries reported; truck driver charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident/driving too fast for conditions.
Theft: About 1:59 p.m., resident of 1900 block of Wisteria Court reported employee resigned from his or her company, but “has refused to return an Illinois apportioned plate.”
Traffic crash: About 2:24 p.m., unidentified motorist’s vehicle ran off roadway and struck city of Naperville streetlight pole on 800 block of Edgewater Drive; motorist charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident/driving too fast for conditions.
Theft: Between 3 p.m. Jan. 6 and 3:47 p.m. today, tire stolen from vehicle parked in lower garage of building on 500 block of Kiowa Drive.
Driving under the influence: Joshua R. Spuhler, 36, Aurora; 8:16 p.m. at the Naperville police station, 1350 Aurora Ave.; charged with DUI/drugs.
DUI: Kevin M. Howe, 22, St. Charles; 10:50 p.m. near Warrenville and Naperville roads, along Naperville-Lisle border; charged with DUI, possession of marijuana and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident/driving too fast for conditions.
