Wednesday, Jan. 8
Hit and run: About 8:05 a.m., unidentified motorist’s vehicle ran off slick roadway and struck city of Naperville streetlight pole on 2800 block of West Diehl Road; motorist then drove away from area.
Driving too fast: About 8:34 a.m., unidentified motorist lost control of vehicle on slick roadway and struck tree on median near 95th Street and Route 59; driver not injured, but tree destroyed; motorist ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident/driving too fast for conditions.
Traffic crash: About 9:56 a.m., unidentified motorist’s vehicle spun out of control on slick roadway and struck city of Naperville streetlight pole on Aurora Avenue just west of River Road; driver uninjured, and pole not damaged; report did not indicate whether ticket was issued.
No insurance: About 6:29 p.m., unidentified motorist’s vehicle slid on slick roadway and went through stop sign at intersection of School Avenue and Brainard Street, striking another vehicle; at-fault driver charged with driving without insurance.
Drug possession: Alec L. Hartman, 19, 1700 block of Frost Lane; 7:50 p.m. at home; charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, resisting a peace officer, driving without insurance and improper lane use.
