Friday, Feb. 7
Suspicious incident: About 2:48 a.m., 44-year-old resident of 1200 block of Whispering Hills Court called police to report theft of firearm; man later told police he had found the weapon.
No insurance: About 6:20 a.m., unidentified motorist charged with driving without insurance, after falling asleep at wheel of vehicle and then rear-ending vehicle in front of him while approaching red traffic light at intersection of 95th Street and Plainfield-Naperville Road; no apparent injuries.
Fake IDs: About 10:54 a.m., three counterfeit identification cards recovered on 200 block of East Bailey Road; report provided no further information.
Theft: A 48-year-old man reported between 6 p.m. Feb. 6 and 11 a.m., theft occurred on 1000 block of East Diehl Road; report provided no further information.
Unlicensed driver: Rosendo Flores, 21, Aurora; 9:51 p.m. near Ogden Avenue and Columbia Street; charged with driving without a license, illegal possession or transportation of liquor, driving without insurance and following another vehicle too closely.
Trespassing: Guy E. Hansen, 53, Westmont; 10:11 p.m. at Metra Railway Fourth Avenue commuter train station, 105 E. Fourth Ave.; charged with criminal trespass to land, “for refusing to leave train depot after closing hours.”
Drug paraphernalia possession: About 11:30 p.m., unidentified motorist charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to signal and driving 90 mph in 45 mph zone, after being stopped near Hamlet and Plainfield-Naperville roads.
Saturday, Feb. 8
Aggravated driving under the influence: Moises Olague, 25, West Chicago; 12:48 a.m. near Warrenville Road and Lucent Lane; charged with aggravated DUI on a suspended or revoked license, driving while license suspended, illegal possession or transportation of liquor, disobeying a traffic control signal, driving on unsafe tires, driving without front or rear license plate or permit and a vehicular lighting violation.
No insurance: About 1:21 p.m., unidentified motorist charged with driving without insurance and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident/driving too fast for conditions, following traffic crash near 75th Street and Fort Hill Drive.
Theft: A 38-year-old man reported between 5:20 and 6:20 p.m., unspecified items stolen from wallet, after locked locker was pried open inside LA Fitness, 1836 Freedom Drive.
Suspended license: Aaron E. Ruddy, 28, Crest Hill; 8:17 p.m. near Chicago Avenue and Washington Street; charged with driving with a suspended license and improper lane use.
Unpaid cab fare: Terry L. Lee, 35, Chicago; 10:23 p.m. on 100 block of South Whispering Hills Drive; charged with theft of labor or services, after trying to flee from area without paying $72 taxicab fare.
Underage drinking: About 11 p.m., two teenage boys or young adults issued city of Naperville tickets for illegal consumption of alcohol by minors and possession of counterfeit identification, after being stopped on 1500 block of Aurora Avenue.
Sunday, Feb. 9
Suspended license: Anthony T. Schroeder, 29, Oswego; 1:14 a.m. on 4000 block of Teak Circle; charged with driving with a suspended license, after ringing doorbell and walking around grounds of home; also wanted on two warrants.
DUI: Hope H. Hull, 22, Wayne; 2:48 a.m. near Ogden Avenue and Webster Street; charged with two counts DUI and one count each illegal possession or transportation of liquor, failure to yield right of way to emergency vehicle, failure to signal and improper lane use.
DUI: Amber R. Smalley, 27, 1600 block of Ishnala Drive; 2:55 a.m. near 75th Street and Naper Boulevard; charged with two counts DUI and one count each failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident/driving too fast for conditions and driving without insurance.
DUI: Devin P. Flahive, 29, Chicago; 4:13 a.m. at Mobil, 1420 E. Ogden Ave.; charged with two counts DUI, after being found unconscious inside vehicle.
ID Theft: Dwayne Bennett, 54, Chicago; 10:35 a.m. at Walmart, 776 S. Route 59; charged with identity theft, driving with a license suspended or revoked for second or subsequent time and disobeying a traffic signal.
Improper turning: About 10:46 a.m., unidentified motorist taken by ambulance to Edward Hospital in Naperville, following two-vehicle traffic crash near 75th Street and Rickert Drive; one of two motorists charged with making improper turn at intersection.
Theft: A 35-year-old woman reported between 5:30 and 5:55 p.m., purse stolen inside Babies R Us, 1955 Glacier Park Ave.; purse found later with $275 missing from wallet.
