Tuesday, Aug. 13
1Suspicious incident: A 46-year-old man reported between 4 p.m. Aug. 10 and 2 p.m. today, two lawn chairs removed from backyard of home on 2300 block of Foxboro Lane and placed in middle of street nearby.
Thursday, Aug. 15
2Theft: A 43-year-old resident of the 2800 block of Powell Court reported between 9 p.m. Aug. 13 and 5 p.m. today, ATM/bank debit card misplaced or stolen.
Friday, Aug. 16
3Theft: Joshua C. Pugh, 22, and Brianna D. Floyd, 18, both of Des Moines, Iowa; 1:32 a.m. near Bill Jacobs BMW, 2495 Aurora Ave.; charged with theft and possession of drug paraphernalia; Pugh also charged with driving with a suspended license and disobeying a traffic signal.
4Vehicle burglary: A 43-year-old man reported between 8 p.m. Aug. 15 and 6:30 a.m., wallet stolen from unlocked vehicle parked in driveway of home on 1200 block of Brook Lane; man’s Visa card later used illegally in Morris.
5Shoplifting: About 7:55 a.m., unidentified male or female took two bottles of vodka and carton of orange juice from unidentified business on 100 block of East Ogden Avenue and left without paying for items; subject located by police and ticketed for retail theft; merchandise returned to business.
6Vehicle damage: A 31-year-old man reported between 10 p.m. Aug. 15 and 8 a.m., hood ornament forcibly broken off and fog light cracked on vehicle parked outside home on 900 block of Fairway Drive.
7Vehicle burglaries: Between 5:30 p.m. Aug. 15 and 11 a.m., vial of prescription Adderal stolen from center console of vehicle parked outside home on 1200 block of Evergreen Avenue; three unlocked vehicles rummaged through while parked outside two homes on same block, but nothing stolen from either; vehicle also burglarized at nearby home on 300 block of Green Valley Drive.
8Special watch request: Special police watch was requested about 12:52 p.m. for small wooded area on 3300 block of Fairmont Avenue, after caller reported juveniles congregating there “drinking alcohol, shooting fireworks and smoking cigarettes.”
9Theft: A 38-year-old woman reported between noon and 1:13 p.m., iPhone 4 stolen during garage sale on 1000 block of Thurman Avenue; woman said phone was taken by Hispanic male driving brown pickup truck with metal cage on bed; Hispanic female and 3- or 4-year-old girl were “distracting the homeowner” at time of theft.
10Disorderly conduct: About 1:47 p.m., police investigated report of former homeowner returning to her old address on 1300 block of Morningstar Court; woman was evicted months ago, “but continues to return, insisting the house is still hers;” report did not indicate whether arrest was made or ticket issued.
11Shoplifting: About 3:16 p.m., unidentified female put on tan North Face coat and then walked out of unidentified business on 500 block of South Route 59 without paying for it; employee or eyewitness gave police license plate number of female’s vehicle; female, when found at home, admitted theft and gave coat to police, who ticketed her for retail theft.
12Suspicious incident: About 4:03 p.m., pastor of Our Savior’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 815 S. Washington St., “reported receiving e-mails containing odd, random information. Nothing in the e-mails was considered to be a threat or harassing in nature, just odd.”
13Resisting police: Abanob George, 18, 2800 block of Cantore Road; 9:33 p.m. at home, where police had gone to serve outstanding arrest warrant for burglary; charged with two counts resisting or obstructing police and one count each possession of 2.5 grams or less marijuana and violation of bail bond.
Saturday, Aug. 17
14Resisting police: Tiffany J. Rosbury, 31, Lincoln Park, Mich.; 12:10 a.m. on 300 block of South Washington Street, near Riverwalk; charged with two counts resisting or obstructing police, after Naperville Park District police officers found her and another woman fighting behind Five Guys Burgers & Fries, 22 E. Chicago Ave.; Rosbury refused to follow officers’ instructions and ran; taken into custody after struggling with Naperville police who had been called to scene.
15Driving under the influence: Alexander J. Jarmusz, 28, Warrenville; 1:21 a.m. near Douglas Avenue and Washington Street; charged with two counts DUI and one count each criminal damage to property, disobeying a stop sign and improper lane use.
16DUI: Scott T. Saran, 48, 800 block of Appomattox Circle; 1:31 a.m. near 75th Street and Route 59; charged with two counts DUI and one count each disobeying a traffic signal, failure to signal, improper lane use and speeding.
17Intoxicated subject: About 1:36 a.m., unidentified, intoxicated man blocked exit doorway on second floor of unidentified business on 0-99 block of West Jefferson Avenue; employees asked him several times to move, but man refused; employee then tried to push man out of way, but man pushed back and “tried to grab the neck” of the worker; man ordered to leave; struggle ensued; police arrived and also ordered man to leave, but man again refused; report did not indicate whether arrest was made or ticket issued.
18Fighting: Daniel J. Gilliam, 23, Plainfield; 1:38 a.m. near Frankie’s Blue Room, 16 W. Chicago Ave.; charged with fighting.
19Curfew violation: About 1:39 a.m., two boys seen near Bailey Road and Ishnala Drive; report did not indicate if juveniles were located, stopped or ticketed.
20DUI: Anthony S. Chavez, 32, Lemont; 1:55 a.m. near 75th Street and Modaff Road; charged with two counts DUI and one count each possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without insurance and improper lane use.
