1Vehicle burglary: Between 1 and 2:30 p.m., vehicle burglarized outside home on 1500 block of Apache Drive.
2Excessive speeding: Liam P. Coakley, age and home town not provided; 7:27 p.m. near 75th Street and Beebe Drive; charged with speeding, for driving 91 mph in 50 mph zone.
3Fireworks: About 10:02 p.m., “numerous consumer-grade fireworks” confiscated after unidentified male was found detonating them alongside house on 3700 block of Bluejay Lane.
4Fake ID: Joseph D. Howieson, age not provided, Aurora; 11:50 p.m. outside unidentified bar on 0-99 block of West Chicago Avenue; charged with misrepresentation of age by minor and obstructing identification.
Sunday, Aug. 25
5Marijuana possession: Dekarington A. Davis, 21; Mitchell A. Morris, 21; and Lorenzo M. Ware, 23, all of Sikeston, Mo.; 12:14 a.m. on 2800 block of West Diehl Road; charged with possession of marijuana; Morris also charged with failure to wear a seat belt.
6Theft of services: Gregory C. Bell, 38, and Kelly A. Lee, 48, both of Lisle; 1:38 a.m. at or near Best Western Naperville Inn, 1617 Naperville-Wheaton Road; charged with theft of labor or services.
7Suspended license: About 1:56 a.m., on 1500 block of Terrence Drive, unidentified taxicab driver who was “involved in a dispute with a customer was arrested for driving on a suspended license, and for a Naperville warrant.”
8Public urination: Michael Rodriguez, 27, Joliet; 2:26 a.m. on second floor of city of Naperville public parking deck, 75 E. Chicago Ave.; charged with urinating in public.
9Marijuana possession: Oscar A. Vazquez, 23, Plano; 2:43 a.m. on 800 block of Pas Court; charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
10Vehicle damage: Woman reported between 11 p.m. Aug. 24 and 11:30 a.m., front passenger-side tire was slashed on silver Honda parked in driveway of home on 3800 block of Petra Court; also, 18-year-old man reported between 11:30 p.m. Aug. 25 and 10:30 a.m. Aug. 26, Beltronics radar detector valued at $350 was stolen from unlocked, 2006 Acura parked outside home on same block.
11Theft: A 27-year-old man reported between 1:15 and 1:45 p.m., combination lock cut off locker inside LA Fitness, 1836 Freedom Drive; $40 and BMO Harris Bank ATM card stolen.
12Theft: About 1:48 p.m., 18-year-old woman reported she arranged to buy concerts tickets from man she met on Craigslist; man and woman met at Naperville restaurant, and man persuaded her to drive to Edward Hospital, 801 S. Washington St., where he claimed tickets were being kept; man allowed woman to hold his “smart phone” while he went inside hospital to get tickets; man ran off with woman’s $250; man’s cell phone was found to have been stolen the day before in Chicago; suspect described as black man, 6 feet 4 inches tall with short hair and “bad teeth,” wearing baggy blue jean shorts and black and silver sports motif shirt, possibly with number 16 on it.
13Shoplifting: Jorge Lopez, age and home town not provided; 2:47 p.m. at Menards, 715 Fort Hill Drive; ticketed for retail theft, after stealing drill bit from store.
14Marijuana possession: About 3:49 p.m., resident of apartment building on 1500 block of Westminster Drive reported smelling odor of burning marijuana; police met with two tenants, who admitted they had been smoking and surrendered plastic bag containing 2 grams marijuana; both ticketed for possession of marijuana.
15Theft: A 19-year-old woman reported between 2:30 and 4 p.m., wallet stolen from unlocked locker inside unidentified business on 2700 block of West 75th Street,
16Shoplifting: Vida Rupsiene, 42, 11S500 block of Walter Lane; 4:10 p.m. at Whole Foods Market, 2607 W. 75th St.; charged with retail theft for stealing $97.61 worth of health products.
17Shoplifting: Nagasundaram Krishnamoorthy, 38, 100 block of Douglas Avenue; 5:14 p.m. at Menards, 715 Fort Hill Drive; charged with retail theft for stealing wrench valued at $64.69.
