Sunday, Sept. 1
1Suspended license: Shaun D. Springer, 20, 1400 block of Druid Hills Court; 1:19 a.m. near Jackson Avenue and Washington Street; charged with driving with a suspended license and speeding; also wanted on two warrants.
2Driving under the influence: Samantha M. Olenick, 26, 500 block of Peacock Court; 1:34 a.m. near Robin Hill Drive and Washington Street; charged with DUI and improper lane use.
3DUI: Jose O. Pacheco, 32, Aurora; 2:23 a.m. near Ogden Avenue and Benedetti Drive; charged with two counts DUI and one count each illegal possession or transportation of liquor, driving without insurance and speeding.
4DUI: Jordan M. Patrick, 22, Oswego; 2:27 a.m. at city of Naperville public parking deck, 43 W. Van Buren Ave.; charged with two counts DUI and one count speeding.
5DUI: David M. Rodriguez, 31, Lombard; 2:30 a.m. on 1100 block of Greensfield Drive; charged with DUI, after being seen by police pulling into private driveway and turning off vehicle’s headlights.
6Property damage: Between 1 and 4 a.m., hedge apple used to break window on garage of home on 700 block of Buttonwood Circle; during same time period, one mailbox damaged and second pulled out of ground and then stolen at two homes on 800 block of Buttonwood Circle; and between 3 p.m. Aug. 31 and 10:30 a.m., mailboxes knocked to ground outside three homes on nearby 1200 block of Teakwood Court.
7Vehicle damage: Between 5 p.m. Aug. 31 and 1 p.m., coolant hoses severed on vehicle parked outside home on 700 block of Kathy Court.
8Reckless conduct: About 2:23 p.m., three teenagers armed with pistol reported near Bailey Road and Washington Street; weapon was “determined to be an Airsoft pistol,” not handgun.
9Shoplifting: Luis F. Garcia, age and home town not provided; 2:32 p.m. at Menards, 715 Fort Hill Drive; issued municipal citation for retail theft.
10Theft: Between 8 p.m. Aug. 31 and 4:19 p.m., bicycle stolen from home on 1000 block of Bainbridge Drive.
11Vehicle damage: About 6:14 p.m., unidentified male or female issued municipal ticket for criminal damage to vehicle parked near North Avenue and Mattande Lane.
12Suspended license: Lorenza Varela, 35, Montgomery; 7:13 p.m. near North Aurora and Frontenac roads; charged with driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance.
13Fighting: Alexander C. Ardelean, 21, 800 block of West Benton Avenue; and Benjamin M. Lapides, 22, 6S400 block of Bridlespur Drive; 11:29 p.m. near Benton Avenue and Washington Street; both charged with two counts fighting and one count criminal damage to property, for striking male and female “after a verbal altercation took place.”
14Suspicious incident: About 11:41 p.m., caller reported seeing people on 1600 block of Coach Drive “suspected of attempting to steal gasoline;” suspects found and identified, but police unable to substantiate theft allegation.
15Suspended license: Edwin Faris, 25, Chicago; 11:52 p.m. near Ogden Avenue and Route 59; charged with driving with a suspended license, driving without insurance, driving with an expired registration and driving without headlights.
16Public urination: About 11:59 p.m., unidentified male or female ticketed for urinating in bushes near Aurora Avenue and Main Street.
Monday, Sept. 2
17Suspicious incident: Delivery driver reported about 12:56 a.m., rear door open on trailer parked on 0-99 block of East Chicago Avenue; bicyclist seen riding away from area; no evidence of theft was found.
18DUI: Christopher J. Peterson, 41, 2100 block of Allegre Circle; 1:34 a.m. in parking lot of Rancheros Mexican Grille, 523 Fairway Drive; charged with DUI after being “observed sitting in a running vehicle” outside restaurant, which was closed for the day.
19Vandalism: Sometime before 10:07 a.m., and for second time, spray-on adhesive used to glue mulch to mailbox outside home on 1200 block of Teakwood Court.
20Vehicle damage: Sometime before 11:32 a.m., and for second time in week, scratches etched into rear, driver-side quarter-panel of 2011 Lincoln parked in driveway of home on 800 block of Buttonwood Circle; owner in first instance tried to buff scratches out; in most recent incident, “scratches were deeper and much more prevalent.”
