Thursday, Sept. 5
1Shoplifting: An employee of Golf Galaxy, 1931 Glacier Park Ave., reported over two-day period of previous week, three golf clubs stolen, most likely by same person; total loss estimated at $577.
Saturday, Sept. 7
2Theft: A woman from Florida reported between 9:20 and 10:15 a.m., envelope containing driver’s license, credit cards and other documents stolen from her purse on 400 block of Highland Avenue; credit cards later used at several Chicago-area stores and restaurants.
3Suspended license: Jaquita M. King, 26, Aurora; 8:20 p.m. near North Aurora Road and Amersale Drive; charged with driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance.
4Shoplifting: About 8:51 p.m., woman picked up bottle of wine inside CVS pharmacy, 1299 E. Ogden Ave., and left store without paying for it; suspect described as white, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 130 pounds, with short, bleached-blond hair and short, multicolored pigtail, wearing “dirty green sweater” and bluejean shorts.
5Suspended license: Mazen Atassi, 26, Valparaiso, Ind.; 8:53 p.m. near Ursuline Avenue and Naper Boulevard; charged with driving with a suspended license.
6Driving under the influence: James M. O’Shaughnessy, 49, 1500 block of Shenandoah Lane; 10:47 p.m. near Ogden and Fifth avenues; charged with two counts DUI and one count each driving over double yellow line in roadway and speeding.
Sunday, Sept. 8
7DUI: Molly M. Binder, 23, 1900 block of Green Trails Drive; 1:43 a.m. near Bar Louie, 22 E. Chicago Ave.; charged with two counts DUI, after being stopped for driving without headlights.
8DUI: James T. Rowe, 23, Carol Stream; 1:48 a.m. near North Aurora Road and Tudor Drive; charged with two counts DUI and one count each making improper turn at intersection and improper lane use.
9Battery: Justin M. Ceaser, 24, Channahon; 2:08 a.m. at city of Naperville public parking deck, 75 E. Chicago Ave.; charged with battery causing bodily harm and battery, following confrontation with 28-year-old man.
10DUI: Cory L. Watts, 34, Odell; 2:13 a.m. near Redstart Road and Washington Street; charged with DUI, battery, criminal damage to state-supported property, resisting a peace officer, illegal possession or transportation liquor, failure to signal, improper lane use and speeding.
11Warrant arrest: Anthony H. Olvera, 24, 2300 block of Reflection Drive; arrested at 2:50 a.m. on two outstanding warrants, after being found intoxicated and unconscious in parking lot of Walgreens, 400 S. Main St.
12Burglary: A 46-year-old man reported between 6 p.m. Sept. 5 and 10 a.m. today, shower fixtures stolen from home under construction on 1400 block of Briarwood Drive.
13Theft: A 51-year-old woman reported family members went to collect property following death of relative who lived in apartment on 1100 block of West Ogden Avenue, and discovered “dining room table had been taken and replaced with another one” sometime between 5 p.m. Sept. 5 and 11:27 a.m. today.
14Theft: A 52-year-old man reported between 2 p.m. Sept. 7 and 1:02 p.m., Illinois license plate stolen from rear of vehicle parked on 200 block of Westmoreland Drive.
15Theft: An 11-year-old girl reported between 3:45 and 4:30 p.m., brown Mongoose bicycle stolen from bike rack outside Naperville Public Library’s Naper Boulevard branch, 2035 S. Naper Blvd.
16Aggravated battery: About 10:15 p.m., two people involved in fight on 500 block of Fessler Avenue, and “one subject struck the other in the head with a shovel;” no complaints filed, no arrests made.
Monday, Sept. 9
17Civil complaint: Unidentified man or woman told police vehicle was to be sold on consignment at dealership on 1500 block of West Ogden Avenue; owner complained sometime before 8:45 a.m., business closed, with vehicle now missing.
18Theft: Between 5 p.m. Sept. 6 and 9 a.m. today, orange-colored Toyota forklift stolen from construction area at west end of parking lot on 700 block of South Route 59; key might have been left in ignition; unknown who last operated forklift.
19Shoplifting: Dawn M. Fraime, 39, Bolingbrook; 11:11 a.m. at Caputo’s Fresh Market, 3115 111th St.; charged with theft.
20Vehicle burglary: A 34-year-old man reported sometime before 11:38 a.m., laptop computer stolen from vehicle parked on 400 block of Denali Circle; man also said crime might have occurred in Warrenville.
21Vehicle damage: A 50-year-old man reported between 7 a.m. and 5:20 p.m., scratches etched into finish of hood of vehicle parked in Metra Railway Fourth Avenue commuter train station lot, 105 E. Fourth Ave.
22Vehicle damage: A 28-year-old man reported between 5:30 and 7 p.m., front driver-side tire slashed on vehicle parked in lot of apartment complex on 1400 block of Fairway Drive.
23Shoplifting: Between 7:53 and 8:14 p.m., white male wearing shorts entered unidentified store on 500 block of South Route 59 “and exited wearing a pair of True Religion bluejeans valued at $60.”
24Assault: Daniel C. Borowski, 57, Chicago; 11:53 p.m. at Extended Stay America Chicago Naperville, 1575 Bond St.; charged with assault, knowingly damaging property and disorderly conduct.
Tuesday, Sept. 10
25Suspicious incident: A resident of the 2700 block of High Meadow Road reported about 4:50 a.m., wife saw “suspicious vehicle” parked on street in front of their home.
26Vandalism: Sometime before 6:53 a.m., black paint marker used to print “Yes,” “Vent,” illegible words, arrows, pictures and other graffiti on rear walls, utility boxes and trash bins outside several businesses on 1100 and 1200 blocks of East Ogden Avenue.
27Disorderly conduct: About 8:04 a.m., unidentified male or female rang doorbell and knocked for 20 minutes on front door of home on 1800 block of Shetland Road; police gave subject a no trespassing warning.
28Hit and run: Rebecca A. Sturlis, 23, Darien; 12:27 p.m. at the Naperville police station, 1350 Aurora Ave.; charged with hit and run.
29Burglary: Between 11:45 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., $37,350 worth of jewelry stolen from home on 2200 block of Comstock Lane; break-in believed to be part of recent rash of burglaries to unlocked, occupied homes.
30Gasoline theft: About 4:50 p.m., motorist pumped $46.29 worth of gasoline into tank of gold, Dodge Intrepid at Marathon, 991 W. Ogden Ave., and then drove away from station without paying for it; driver described as black man in his early 20s, 5 feet 10 inches tall with thin build, wearing bright red and black camouflage pants.
31Vehicle burglary: A 46-year-old woman reported sometime between Aug. 27 and 5:01 p.m. today, Metra Railway parking lot permit and plastic rear-view mirror holder stolen from unlocked Toyota Prius parked outside home on 400 block of Fairway Drive.
32Harassment: About 6:55 p.m., 56-year-old resident of 3400 block of Scottsdale Circle contacted police to report having received harassing e-mail from ex-husband.
33Suspended license: Marosario Crisostomo-Ortiz, 36, 700 block of Royal St. George Drive; 8:38 p.m. near Jefferson and Ogden avenues; charged with driving with a suspended license, driving without insurance and failure to yield right of way while turning left; also wanted on a warrant.
34Property damage: About 10:31 p.m., juvenile arrested for damaging parents’ home on 1100 block of Huntleigh Drive.
